Areas of Focus

Hello and welcome! I am registered clinical counsellor (RCC) and registered social worker (RSW) offering both virtual and in-person counselling for individuals and couples.

I know how hard it can be to find a counsellor. Having sat in the seat of client over the years, I appreciate the importance of feeling safe, seen, and that you can be your authentic self with your therapist. I endeavor to create that space for my clients, co-constructing a therapeutic relationship founded on trust, care, and honesty. I encourage my clients to show up just as they are.

I approach therapy relationally and collaboratively. This means that I see us as a team; we are in this together. You are in the driver’s seat, and I am your co-pilot. In the counselling space, I show up with compassion, humor, and curiosity, inviting you to bring forth all the different parts of yourself. I consider it a distinct privilege to walk alongside my clients on their journeys.

I believe the identities we hold have a significant impact on how we experience and interact with the world. I identify as a white, cisgender woman, living and working on the stolen territory of the xwməθkwəəm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Səlílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. I am dedicated to continued learning about my intersecting identities, and how I can support those impacted by oppression and marginalization in all its forms.

I work from a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens. I embrace a holistic approach in my counselling practice, which is informed by my education and lived experiences. I mainly work from an Emotion Focused Therapy and Attachment Theory lens while incorporating modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Intersectional Feminist Theory. I strive to be as trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and anti-oppressive as possible. I prioritize my continued education so that I’m able adapt my work to my clients’ unique needs.

My passions outside of work include caring for my rescue dogs, adventuring with friends, nurturing family ties, and widening my horizons with travel to far off places.
